He has worked for leading organisations such as Roche Pharma, Roche Diagnostics, and IBM Consulting, contributing to the design and execution of transformative healthcare initiatives. His interdisciplinary profile has enabled him to navigate the complex interface between clinical needs, cutting-edge technology, and sustainable business models.
Throughout his career, Borja has led cross-functional teams focused on delivering impactful digital health solutions—from strategy and development to real-world implementation. His work has particularly centred on unlocking the value of clinical and real-world data to improve patient outcomes, streamline care processes, and support evidence-based decision-making across healthcare systems.
He is currently involved in several strategic projects that aim to integrate digital platforms, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence into the care pathway, especially in therapeutic areas such as ophthalmology and oncology.
An engineer by training, Borja holds a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering and a Master's degree in ICT Management from La Salle – Ramon Llull University in Barcelona. He also earned an Executive MBA from IESE Business School.
