Robert holds a Master's Degree and Ph.D. from the Faculty of Physics of Warsaw University.
Co-author of 35 scientific publications and over 200 national patents (based on 23 patent applications). In 1999 the co-founder of AMMONO company specialised in development and production of Gallium Nitride (GaN) semiconductor, crystallised by its proprietary ammonothermal method. Since the beginning until 2013 the President (CEO) of this company, being the world leader of highest quality bulk GaN. AMMONO inventions and commercialization achievements enable ongoing breakthrough in optoelectronics (lasers and LEDs based on GaN) and electronics (fast and high power transistors).
Since 2015 till now the director of UOTT (Technology Transfer Office at University of Warsaw). The university's Intellectual Property revenues increased by about 5 m€ during this time (previously negligible), while the 25 created spin-off companies (previously none) obtained nearly 25 m€ grants and raised over 10 m€ investments. Since 2019 till now also the President of the PACTT Foundation (Polish Association of Centers for Technology Transfer) serving as one-stop-shop access to almost 80 universities and other scientific entities in Poland.
