Diego holds a Diplôme d'Études Approfondies en Sciences Économiques and a Master in the Economics of Technological and Institutional Change from the Université Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg.
He is passionate about entrepreneurship and startups and has been actively contributing to the development of Luxembourg's entrepreneurial ecosystem by designing, developing, and implementing new incubation programmes and services since 2001.
Diego is the CEO of Technoport, a technology business incubator in Luxembourg that has been operating for over 25 years. He is regularly invited to serve as a jury member for national and international startup competitions, participate in review panels, or speak and moderate at conferences and workshops. He also serves as a board member and president of the European Business and Innovation Centres Network (www.ebn.eu) and sits on the advisory committee of Tomorrow Street (https://www.tomorrowstreet.co/), a joint venture between Vodafone Procurement Company and Technoport that supports scale-up companies in their globalisation efforts.
He has also served as a board member of a spin-off company developing easy-to-use home monitoring solutions to improve the quality of life and care for chronically ill heart failure (CHF) patients.
