Emma is based at Cambridge Enterprise, the commercialisation arm of the University of Cambridge

Emma is based at Cambridge Enterprise, the commercialisation arm of the University of Cambridge. A literary historian by training, Emma leads Cambridge Enterprise’s knowledge transfer support for humanities and social science researchers from licensing to company creation. Areas of strength in the SSHA portfolio include include software and data innovations, creative and heritage industry co-creation projects, social ventures, and global development interventions. Emma also develops training and outreach for researchers in SSHA and is interested in initiatives to embed knowledge exchange, entrepreneurship and impact in SSHA research cultures.

Prior to moving to Cambridge Enterprise in 2018, Emma worked as a postdoctoral researcher and in knowledge exchange roles at the University of Oxford and University of Cambridge, and as a consultant with the EdTech social enterprise Causeway Education. She is a Trustee of the UK charity the British Society of Eighteenth-Century Studies.
