Anuar joined ASTP in February 2018
Anuar is the driving force behind ASTP's events, bringing over 25 years of experience in hospitality and event management. His expertise spans both the business and non-profit sectors, with a deep understanding of logistics, client relations, and cross-cultural communication. As the Events Manager at ASTP, Anuar ensures the seamless execution of events, ranging from conferences and training courses to masterclasses, workshops, and social gatherings, with meticulous attention to detail.
Before joining ASTP, Anuar honed his skills as the Marketing Manager for the BeNeLux market at the Malaysian Tourism Promotion Board, based in The Hague, Netherlands. This role, which involved strategic marketing and event coordination, allowed him to develop a keen sense of cross-cultural communication and international outreach.
Anuar believes in blending professionalism with creativity, guided by his favourite quote from Mary Poppins: “In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun.” Outside of work, he enjoys reading, cooking, shopping, travelling, and connecting with friends from around the world. He is fluent in English, Malay, and Indonesian, with a working knowledge of Dutch.
