Head of Unit of Valorisation Policies and IPR, Directorate Prosperity, Directorate-General Research and Innovation
Kirsi has M.Sc. (Public Health) from University of Helsinki, Department of General Practice and Primary Health Care. She has been working in the European Commission for more than 20 years in various positions in the area of health, medical and environmental research including science-policy interfaces. She was in charge of the implementation and monitoring of the Innovation Union flagship initiative and also part of the team preparing the European Innovation Council.
Currently, as a Head of Unit of Valorisation Policies and IPR, she is in charge of fostering policies for knowledge valorisation and deployment of research and innovative solutions across Europe.
