The European Commission is gathering feedback on EU’s action plan for women in research, innovation and start-ups…
The European Patent Office (EPO) has initiated an online public consultation, open until 17 March, inviting input from a broad spectrum of stakeholders to shape the second biennial work plan (2026–2027) of its Observatory on Patents and Technology.
Since its inception in October 2023, the Observatory on Patents and Technology has focused on high-priority topics identified during the first public consultation. This approach has resulted in the release of comprehensive studies, patent insight reports, and technology platforms, as well as the organisation of online events and collaborations with key partners. These initiatives have provided valuable, evidence-based insights to support informed decision-making across the innovation ecosystem.
The latest consultation aims to align the Observatory’s strategic goals with the diverse needs of stakeholders—including policymakers, researchers, startups, SMEs, investors, intellectual property professionals, and the general public. By gathering feedback from these groups, the EPO seeks to ensure that its future activities continue to meet the evolving demands of the innovation landscape.
ASTP encourages all interested parties to participate in this important consultation and share their perspectives.
