Marta has a degree in Biological Engineering and post-graduate studies in Intellectual Property, Marketing and Strategic Management.
Marta Catarino has 20+ years of experience in knowledge transfer, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Her previous experience as Director of the Technology Transfer Office of University of Minho at TecMinho allowed her to support researchers, entrepreneurs and companies in all aspects related to knowledge-based innovation, from collaborative research to industrial property licensing, including a strong focus in proof-of-concept and supporting entrepreneurship and new business creation.
Marta has extensive communication experience, delivering seminars, workshops and training in more than 30 countries, often by invitation of the World Intellectual Property Organization, the European Patent Office and the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission.
She has been a Board Member of the leading European technology transfer and innovation associations, and is a past-President of ASTP.
Marta is now Head of Knowledge Transfer and Innovation at B.ACIS, and thrilled to be focusing on life sciences and medicine, areas where knowledge transfer can greatly impact society and the world.
