Silke Meyns studied Chemistry at the University of Hamburg and got her PhD at ETH Zurich in Food Science.
At Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (EAWAG), she worked as head of an analytical lab for 9 years. In 2001 Silke joined ETH transfer, the technology transfer unit at ETH Zurich, where she was heading the group "Patents and Licenses" at ETH transfer until her retirement in 2023. After a short comeback she retired a second time in 2024.
She used to be a board member of LES Switzerland and a member of the programming committee of ASTP.
