Driving open innovation in science in a precompetitive setting
With a background in law and more than a decade of experience in knowledge transfer and research-driven innovation, Stine Skyum Kristensen specialises in designing collaborative models that bridge academia and industry. At Aarhus University’s Centre for Open Innovation in Science, her work focuses on fostering precompetitive, open, and innovative partnerships that accelerate knowledge valorisation and create societal impact.
As Senior Counsel, she develops and implements new models for open innovation in science that enhance knowledge exchange, build trust, and support shared innovation, ultimately accelerating discoveries across sectors.
By harmonising and optimising the Centre’s processes and quality standards, she plays a key role in shaping standardised procedures that ensure a transparent, efficient, and state-of-the-art administration of cascade funding.
In 2023, she completed an Executive MBA, further strengthening her ability to integrate strategic, operational, and innovation-driven perspectives into her work. She is passionate about building open, trust-based innovation models that unlock new opportunities for research and industry alike.
