Former Director of the Rey Juan Carlos University Technology Transfer Office (2012-2018). Between 2008 and 2010, Santiago managed the Technology Transfer Support Program at the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
Coordinator of the Spanish Association of University Technology Transfer Offices, RedOTRI, from 2016-2018, he joined the Rey Juan Carlos University after 15 years activity in private and public organisations such as: Telefonica (Madrid, Spain), LURE Laboratory (Orsay-Paris, France), Autonoma University (Madrid, Spain) and CDTI (Spanish R&D Agency, Ministry of Science and Innovation).
He was the Spanish National Delegate to the European R&D Framework Program (European Commission),and Industrial Liaison Officer at CERN Laboratory (Geneva, Switzerland) and ESRF Laboratory (Grenoble, France).
He is a graduate in Physics from Autonoma University Madrid, Spain and currently represents the National Association Advisory Council (NAAC) on the Board of ASTP.
