The one-day online training course Advanced Digital Innovation: Details of Open-Source Software – Protection, Management, and Valorisation provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of the role open-source software plays in knowledge and technology transfer within research and innovation ecosystems.
Through expert-led sessions and hands-on exercises, the course explores the structure of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) licences, strategies for compliance management, and the intersection of legal frameworks with valorisation approaches. Participants will also examine open data licensing, emerging regulatory developments, including the AI Act and Cyber Resilience Act, and practical business models for leveraging FOSS-based innovations.
