The clinical development of repurposed drugs shares many features with that of new molecular entities. However, clinical trials for repurposed drugs depend heavily on existing knowledge of the medicinal product and the scientific hypotheses underpinning the new indication or indications being pursued.

Using concrete examples, the webinar will explore the particularities of drug repurposing and highlight frequently overlooked aspects of pharmacology, clinical trial design and regulatory strategy that may ultimately limit the positive impact of drug repurposing on patients and society.

This webinar is organised by the BioMedical SIG. Join the BioMedical SIG to stay informed.
