Mental health is an essential part of overall health and well-being, yet it often remains a taboo and often ignored topic in the Knowledge Transfer (KT) sector.

Organised by the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Special Interest Group (EDI SIG), this impactful webinar will explore the challenges surrounding mental health in the KT sector, highlighting insights from a recently published article on Technology Transfer Tactics on this important issue:

"The lack of attention paid to mental health and well-being within the KT/TT field lies in stark contrast to efforts and initiatives in other professional fields. In fact, since outside law firms are heavily influenced by the practices of their clients, Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) are uniquely positioned to be a force multiplier for change when it comes to mental health. By developing guidelines that centre on communication practices, respecting work-life balance, managing projects effectively, and sharing well-being opportunities, TTO leadership can create a top-down atmosphere and culture of wellness and support that can have a ripple effect into allied professions".

Join us for a much needed conversation on mental health in knowledge transfer, and learn how KTOs can become catalysts for positive change in this critical area.

I strongly recommend the course, even if you are not going to set-up an office but you are part of the team that wants to change or improve how technology transfer is done at your institution.

Starting or changing any procedure at a TTO/Institution is challenging and I could not think of anything better than learning with the best.
