Janina Pescinski, Training and Development Manager for the British Academy, will present lessons learned and first outcomes from the Elevate Programme, a three-year programme that helps Early Career Researchers from SHAPE disciplines develop leadership skills and build resilience in a competitive job market through focused professional development.

Launched amidst sector crises and budget constraints, the programme provides external development opportunities and helps researchers explore new opportunities in academic and non-academic environments and pilot projects with external partners to drive real-world change – in an inclusive and supportive environment open to researchers from diverse backgrounds, disciplines, career paths, and perspectives.
