EPFL is consistently ranked among Europe’s top three universities for deep-tech spin-off creation. This is particularly impressive given that the other institutions at the top of the rankings are all significantly larger. With around 20–25 spin-offs created each year, EPFL has established itself as one of Europe’s most productive spin-off ecosystems. What is the secret behind its success?

First, Lorenzo Chiavarini (Head of Research at Dealroom) will present key insights from their latest European Deep Tech and Spin-off reports, highlighting the universities and public research organisations that are leading the way in Europe.

We will then take a deep dive into the drivers behind EPFL’s outstanding performance. Isabel Casado Harrington (Head of Startup Launchpad at EPFL) will share the instruments, support mechanisms, policies and culture that have enabled EPFL to generate such a remarkable number of high-quality spin-offs each year.

This webinar is organised by the Spin-off SIG. Join the Spin-off SIG to stay informed.
