Spin-off SIG Webinar #6

Spin-off SIG Webinar #6

Post-incorporation support for spin-offs; how far will/can your university or research organisation go?

This event has now expired

Spin-offs from universities and research organisations often ask for—and require—post-incorporation support from the institutions they originated from. This panel explores the infrastructure and support provided by universities and research organisations to their spin-offs, such as access to R&D facilities (e.g. laboratories), future IP, university-related investment funds, warm introductions to investors, incubation programmes, and management or legal guidance.

We’ll compare two approaches from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (ES) and Delft University of Technology (NL). Participants can share their own lessons learned in aligning university priorities with the needs of their emerging companies, as well as hear the experiences of the panel.

The panel will include Diego Suarez Pousa, Technology Transfer Officer at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela, and Rick Bonants, Investment Manager of Spin-offs at Delft Enterprises (Delft University of Technology). D’vorah Graeser, founder of RocketSmart, will moderate.

This webinar is organised by the Spin-off SIG. Join the Spin-off SIG to stay informed.
