This Tea with ASTP session will explore the key factors to consider when selecting and working with a patent attorney, particularly from the perspective of technology transfer professionals.
Participants will gain practical insights into what distinguishes a good patent attorney, including technical expertise, industry knowledge, communication skills, and strategic thinking. The session will also highlight the importance of alignment between the attorney’s approach and the client’s commercial objectives, as well as their ability to balance legal precision with business-oriented advice.
This course gives an in-depth understanding on managing contract portfolio, including research contracts, license agreements, and other collaboration agreements.
