The Falling Walls Foundation has opened its Global Call for Science Breakthroughs 2026, inviting nominations from researchers, start-ups and science engagement initiatives worldwide. The deadline to apply is 15 April 2026, with finalists presenting at the Falling Walls Science Summit in Berlin this November.
For the knowledge transfer (KT) community, the call is particularly relevant due to its strong focus on science start-ups, engagement and real-world impact. It offers KT professionals and their institutions a high-visibility platform to showcase successful research translation, spin-outs and impactful collaborations.
ASTP members may wish to identify strong candidates within their portfolios and support applications that demonstrate how knowledge transfer drives societal and economic value.
