The Young Universities for the Future of Europe (YUFE) alliance, which is one of the European University Alliances, has developed a common YUFE vision text for a more demand-driven approach to Knowledge Valorisation (KV).
This vision, which is one of the results of a three-year Horizon 2020 project, combines the traditional technology push approach with a more demand-driven approach, creating a supranational model for university-industry collaborations.
The aim is to bridge the gap between industry and academia, fostering a more dynamic, responsive, and impactful innovation ecosystem.
Based on the performed gap analysis, four pillars were identified as working areas for the transformation towards a more demand-driven approach to KV: Talent management, Focus and specialisation, Funding and investment, and the capture of the needs of Societal Business Actors.
