Anabel Sanz is actively involved in venture creation, having contributed to the launch of several spin-off companies in recent years and serving as board observer in these initiatives.

Anabel holds a PhD in Molecular Biology and is a senior knowledge transfer professional specialising in life sciences, with extensive experience in evaluation and valorisation of technologies as well as building effective bridges between academia and industry. She currently leads knowledge transfer activities at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona, where she drives the translation of cutting-edge research into real-world applications.

With over 15 years of experience across leading research institutions, including CNIO and CNB-CSIC, as well as in the private sector at BASF and the VIB spin-off CropDesign, Anabel brings a strong industry-oriented perspective to innovation management. She has successfully initiated and supported numerous public-private partnerships, fostering long-term collaborations that accelerate the development and adoption of new technologies.
