Andrea Basso

Andrea Basso, PhD (EPFL, Switzerland, Stanford USA), is currently managing director at MITO Tech Ventures fund and CTO of MITO Technology (Italy), while also serving as senior expert for the European Commission and WIPO. With over 22 years of research experience at Bell Labs and AT&T Labs, he holds 187+ granted patents in multimedia, video, wireless, and AI. He has previously served as CEO of Sisvel Technology and a professor at universities in Canada and Italy. He has published several books, chapters, and 60+ papers.
