Anuar Shafiei

Anuar joined ASTP in February 2018 and leads the planning and delivery of all its events, from first idea to final applause. He manages ASTP’s full programme, working hand in hand with the Board, the Conference Programming Committee, the Professional Development Committee and the Digital Events Committee.

For Anuar, every event is about bringing people together and sharing best practices across the knowledge transfer community in Europe and beyond.

As the key contact for customised training, conference sponsorship and event hosting, he partners with members and organisations to create experiences that meet their goals.

With more than 25 years in hospitality and event management across Malaysia and Europe, Anuar knows how to create events that people remember. His experience in both business and the non-profit sector helps him shape each event around the people it’s for. Before joining ASTP, he was Marketing Manager for the Benelux market at the Malaysian Convention Bureau in The Hague.

When he’s not planning events, you’ll find Anuar with a good book, out shopping, travelling, or best of all, cooking for his friends.
