Clara Conrad-Billroth is Venture Creation Lead at the University of Vienna, where she works at the intersection of academia and entrepreneurship. With a background in molecular biology and quantum optics, and hands-on experience through her involvement in two healthcare start-ups, her work focuses on creating formats that enable students and researchers to explore how scientific ideas can move beyond the lab and take shape as ventures, policy initiatives or other societal applications.These programmes – ranging from digital and green to deep tech tracks for quantum and biomedical entrepreneurship – support students and scientists in transforming scientific discoveries and ideas at the University into tangible societal benefits.
Outside work, she enjoys escaping to the mountains to climb and explore trails.
