Federica Baldan is a legal and policy officer in the Unit for ‘Valorisation policies and technology infrastructures’ of the Directorate General for Research and Innovation at the European Commission. She is also a member of the Startup and Scaleup Taskforce, responsible for the implementation of actions fostering the valorisation of academic research results and their market uptake.
Before joining the European Commission in 2021, Federica worked as a researcher in IP law and governance at the University of Antwerp and as an IP lawyer in Italy.
