Florian Kirschenhofer

As a Startup & Portfolio Manager at Max?Planck?Innovation?GmbH (MI)—the technology?transfer arm of the Max?Planck Society—Florian supports entrepreneurial projects and teams from the Max?Planck Institutes throughout the entire lifecycle: from the pre?foundation stage, through spin?off creation, to eventual exit. He also negotiates licensing and financing agreements with spin?offs and represents Max?Planck on several company boards, either as a full member or as an observer.

Within the ASTP, Florian co?chairs the Spin?Off Special Interest Group, serves on the Professional Development Committee, and acts as a course director and speaker for a range of training programmes.

Before joining MI, he advised automotive companies as a strategy and growth consultant, held a faculty position as Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management at Toulouse Business School (France), worked in the finance department of Ford Motor Company, and co?founded two start?ups. He holds a diploma in Business Administration from the University of Regensburg, a MBA from Murray State University and a doctoral degree.
