Lisa Cowey

Lisa Cowey has worked in the field of innovation for over 30 years. Following a PhD in physics she spent a decade in the commercial sector with high-tech instrumentation companies in the UK, USA and Germany, an experience that encompassed start-up, equity fund raising and trade-sale exit.

Since 2006 she has worked in the Western Balkans region and in the newer EU MS including Croatia, Poland and Lithuania to help build capacity for Technology Transfer. Recent activities include as the team leader for the IPA funded EU4TECH Western Balkans PoC project, supporting 48 projects from the WB region at PoC stage, and the EU Funded IP Booster service where she delivered the Commercialisation Support Service to TTOs from 147 Public Research Organisations in the EU.

Lisa was one of the catalysts for the establishment of the Polish Association of Centres of Technology Transfer (PACTT) and since 2017 she has been supporting the emerging Western Balkans TTO Network.
