Mairi Gibbs

Dr Mairi Gibbs is Chief Executive Officer at Oxford University Innovation (OUI). She has worked at OUI (formerly Isis Innovation) since 2002 in a range of commercial and operational roles, gaining extensive practical experience in technology transfer, including work to develop the University’s innovation policy framework to meet current and future needs. Mairi was a witness in OUI’s successful litigation at the High Court in 2021.

Mairi is a Registered Technology Transfer Practitioner and volunteers as a course director and trainer for Knowledge Exchange UK. She has a PhD in chemistry and spent some time in the fine chemicals industry before moving into technology transfer, being named as inventor on seven patents resulting from that work.
