Ruth Herzog

Dr. Ruth M. Herzog brings extensive experience in technology transfer and innovation in the life sciences, with particular expertise in oncology. She served at the Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum (DKFZ, German Cancer Research Center) from 1997 to 2025, leading technology transfer operations as Head of the Office of Technology Transfer and later Vice Head of Innovation Management. Her work encompassed intellectual property management, licensing, spin-off creation, and strategic alliances with industry. Dr. Herzog holds a Ph.D. in molecular tumor biology, a diploma in biology, and an M.A. in economics and management. She is a Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP). Since retiring in October 2025, she continues teaching Innovation and Transfer at the University of Speyer. Beyond her professional work, she is passionate about open water swimming and now coaches children and non-swimmers.
