Tara Dalton, is a recognised leader in microfluidic instrumentation with a strong track record in both innovation and commercialisation. Tara co-founded the spin-out company Stokes Bio Ltd. Stokes Bio which was sold to Life Technologies for $44 million in 2010, marking one of the largest university spin-out acquisitions in the Irish State's history.? Tara is currently the CEO of her latest spinout, Altratech. Her research interest is in the development of microfluidic devices for biological assays. She has graduated 20 PhD students, published over 100 refereed papers, and has over 50 granted patents and applications.?As a serial entrepreneur who created and launched business ventures, often after selling or stepping away from previous ones, her entrepreneurial journey showcases her adaptability, resilience, and ability to innovate in various industries.
