Sara Martos

Sara contributes to ASTP’s mission and strategic objectives as EU Projects and Policy Manager, leading initiatives that strengthen Europe’s innovation ecosystem and foster collaboration between research, industry, and policymakers.

With a background in Law and Journalism, Sara brings nearly a decade of international experience at the intersection of innovation, EU policy, organisational strategy, and communications. Having lived and worked in the Netherlands, Belgium, Argentina, France, and Spain, she has built a diverse cross-sector career spanning public institutions, private organisations, and international networks. Her multidisciplinary background enables her to navigate complex environments, deliver strategic output, and foster collaboration across cultures and stakeholder groups.

Before joining ASTP, Sara held roles at the European Parliament in Brussels, the international law firm Ashurst, EFE News Agency—the world's leading Spanish-language news agency—and the Spanish national radio station Onda Cero. She has also worked as a Consultant, supporting organisations on strategy, project development and communications.

Passionate about turning complexity into clarity, Sara combines strategic thinking with a practical, action-oriented approach to help teams align around shared goals and deliver meaningful impact.
