Toshal Patel

Tosh leads UCB’s Partnering team within the company’s R&D organisation. The team is responsible for identifying and evaluating projects and companies for inclusion in UCB’s R&D pipeline in Immunology and Neurology. It works closely with scientific and business development colleagues to support due diligence processes, bringing innovative external science into UCB to strengthen the pipeline. Tosh’s team collaborates closely with Jiri’s, combining commercial and academic insights to further advance scientific knowledge within UCB.

Tosh holds a PhD in neuroscience from the University of Glasgow and an MBA from the Open University in the UK. Before joining UCB, he held various roles within the R&D organisations at Eisai and Takeda in the UK, overseeing in vivo pharmacology and target engagement.
