Amanda Zeffman Appointed ASTP President as Members Approve New Board for 2026–2027

ASTP Members Approve New Board for 2026-2027

ASTP members have officially approved the Association’s new Board for 2026–2027 during the General Assembly held on 6 May 2026, marking an important leadership transition for Europe’s growing knowledge transfer community.

Amanda Zeffman has officially taken on the role of ASTP President, succeeding Art Bos, who now moves into the position of VP Events. Members also approved the appointment of Sally Cudmore as the Association’s new VP Communities, succeeding departing Board member Krystian Gurba following the completion of his term.

The General Assembly also approved the second Board terms of Fabrice Lefebvre as VP Metrics & Impact and Anette Poulsen Miltoft as VP Europe, recognising their continued contribution to ASTP’s growing activities in the areas of KT metrics, impact, European engagement and policy dialogue.

The appointment of the new Board comes at a time of continued growth for ASTP and the wider KT community. In 2025, the Association grew to 1,829 members across 53 countries, representing 499 organisations and 35 National Associations. ASTP also delivered 78 events throughout the year, spanning conferences, training courses, webinars, masterclasses and Special Interest Group (SIG) activities.

Amanda Zeffman Appointed ASTP President

Reflecting on her appointment, Amanda Zeffman said:

“It is a real honour to take on the role of ASTP President after being part of this community for more than fourteen years, including serving as a volunteer for most of that time. I started on the Conference Programming Committee before joining the Board, where I led Professional Development through the Covid years and most recently served as Vice President for Events.
ASTP is in a position of real strength, with almost 2,000 members, exceptional engagement through our Special Interest Groups, and a broad and growing programme of events and training. One of my priorities is to harness the strength of this network — bringing together its diversity, expertise and commitment to ensure ASTP continues to have meaningful impact as knowledge transfer evolves.
I’m excited to help guide ASTP through what comes next and very much look forward to working with the community over the year ahead.”

Sally Cudmore Joins the Board as VP Communities

The General Assembly also welcomed Sally Cudmore to the Board as new VP Communities. Sally has already been a familiar face within the ASTP community through her active involvement in the Spin-off SIG, helping to foster discussions and knowledge exchange around entrepreneurship, commercialisation and spin-out development.

Her appointment comes as ASTP’s Special Interest Groups continue to grow rapidly in both activity and participation. ASTP now hosts 11 SIGs, reflecting the increasing engagement, collaboration and diversity of interests across the community.

Commenting on joining the Board, Sally Cudmore said:

“I am delighted to join the ASTP Board and look forward to contributing my experience to support and strengthen the knowledge transfer community and practices. I am equally excited to meet and learn from colleagues across the network and to collaborate in advancing innovation, knowledge transfer and impact together.”

Thanking Krystian Gurba for His Contribution to ASTP

The General Assembly also recognised and thanked departing VP Communities Krystian Gurba for his contribution to ASTP and its volunteer community over the past years. During his term, ASTP saw continued growth across its SIG activities and wider community engagement, including the launch of new initiatives and stronger collaboration between SIG leaders.

Krystian Gurba commented:

“Serving on the ASTP Board over the past four years — first as Vice President Events and more recently as Vice President Communities — has been a true privilege and a deeply meaningful experience. I am sincerely thankful to the ASTP community, especially to everyone I had the pleasure to collaborate and learn with along the way.
I’m proud to have contributed to initiatives and events that I hope brought real value to the community, including annual conferences, thematic events, Tea with ASTP webinars and the ASTP Awards. I would also like to thank my fellow Board members, the ASTP Headquarters team, and the many dedicated volunteers across committees and Special Interest Groups whose energy and commitment continue to make ASTP such a strong and vibrant community.”

ASTP Board 2026-2027

The newly approved ASTP Board for 2026–2027 consists of:

  • Amanda Zeffman — President
  • Art Bos — VP Events
  • Sally Cudmore — VP Communities
  • Jörn Erselius — VP Directors
  • Sigmar Lampe — VP Professional Development
  • Fabrice Lefebvre — VP Metrics & Impact
  • Helena Montiel — VP Finance & Business Development
  • Anette Poulsen Miltoft — VP Europe
  • Laura Spinardi — VP NAAC

The new Board will continue guiding ASTP’s strategic development as the Association further strengthens its role in advancing knowledge transfer across Europe and beyond.

With growing international engagement, expanded professional development activities, increasing collaboration with European institutions, and a thriving volunteer-led community, ASTP continues to reinforce its mission of supporting KT professionals “by members, for members.”

The ASTP community will also have the opportunity to congratulate the new Board members and thank departing Board member Krystian Gurba in person during the upcoming ASTP Annual Conference in Bucharest, taking place from 20–22 May 2026.
