The Commission has launched the second edition of the European Standardisation Panel survey to gather input from the industry and other stakeholders on their standardisation needs, to boost innovation and European competitiveness. Standards help researchers and innovators bring their innovation to the market and spread technological advances. They support knowledge valorisation and development of technologies, while at the same time generating economic opportunities and contributing to the sustainable development goals. Furthermore, standards provide confidence to consumers that innovative technologies are safe.
The survey will gather input on needs of standards notably from industry, including large companies, small- and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) and start-ups, as well as from experts, patent applicants, research and innovation actors engaged in standardisation activities. It aims for a balanced representation of stakeholders and technology domains from all over Europe.
