Why the ASTP AI and Digital Innovations Awards?

The adoption of AI and digital tools is reshaping the KT landscape, enhancing business development, streamlining legal negotiations, and improving operational efficiency. The ASTP AI and Digital Innovations Awards highlight pioneers in digital transformation, encouraging the community to explore, implement, and share best practices in KT.

Awards Categories

The ASTP AI and DI Awards are divided into two categories, each recognising a distinct aspect of digital innovation in KT:

• Knowledge Transfer and Operational Efficiency
  This category acknowledges digital tools that enhance the efficiency of KT offices and business processes. While these innovations may operate behind the scenes, they play a crucial role in supporting academics and businesses by streamlining workflows, reducing bureaucracy, and cutting costs.
• Business Development and Market Engagement
  This category celebrates digital tools that enhance business development and market engagement within KT. These innovations improve the way professionals raise awareness of technologies, analyse market opportunities, and connect with potential partners—ultimately accelerating collaboration between research and industry.

Who Can Apply?

• Open to individuals and organisations within the KT community.
• Recognises AI and digital innovations that improve KT practices.
• Nominations must be submitted by ASTP members (self-nominations are allowed).

How to Participate

Stage 1 – Initial Submission

• Submit a 200-word summary outlining the innovation and its impact in one of the two award categories via the official ASTP AI and Digital Innovations application form.
• Download and complete the submission form.
• Ensure that nominees provide consent for their submission.
• Send applications to communications@astp4kt.eu by 14 March 2025.
• The ASTP Professional Development Committee will review all applications, and successful candidates will be notified by 28 March 2025.

Stage 2 – Detailed Submission & Jury Review

• Shortlisted nominees will be invited to provide further details, including responses to standard questions and possibly a video demonstration.
• The deadline for this stage is 13 April 2025.

Stage 3 – Selection & Award Presentation

• An expert panel (Sigmar Lampe, Alastair Banks, Rob Sloman, Astrid Elise Hasselberg, chaired by Jeff Skinner), will evaluate the submissions and select winners in each category.
• Winners will be notified confidentially by 30 April 2025.
