This event has now expired

European Research Infrastructure Consortia (ERICs) provide unparalleled access to world-class facilities, expertise, and data across Europe, enabling researchers to accelerate and de-risk the translation of biomedical discoveries into practical health solutions. By connecting academia, industry, and innovation ecosystems, ERICs play a critical role in moving ideas from the lab towards real-world impact.

In this webinar, Bahne Stechmann, Deputy Director of EU-OPENSCREEN, will introduce the EU-OPENSCREEN research infrastructure and its role in chemical biology and early drug discovery. Drawing on his background in academia and biotechnology, Bahne will outline how EU-OPENSCREEN’s pan-European network supports compound screening, medicinal chemistry, and collaborative projects, while also addressing opportunities and challenges for university spin-outs.

The session will conclude with Cansu Tekin presenting EATRIS, a non-profit European research infrastructure that provides access to expertise and facilities from over 175 leading academic centres. Cansu will explain how EATRIS supports the optimisation of preclinical and early clinical development of drugs, vaccines, and diagnostics, helping innovators overcome translational barriers through tailored scientific, strategic, and innovation support.

This webinar is organised by the BioMedical SIG and supported by UCB. Join the BioMedical SIG to stay informed.
