Mental health is an integral part of our overall health, yet it is frequently overlooked in the KT sector. In response, we are hosting an insightful webinar, Breaking the Silence: Mental Health in KT, to discuss how Knowledge Transfer Offices (KTOs) can lead the way in creating a culture of wellness and support.

This webinar will delve into the challenges the sector faces and present strategies to promote well-being. Drawing on key findings from a recent article in Technology Transfer Tactics, we will explore the unique role that KTOs can play in fostering mental health initiatives. The article highlights how KTO leadership can drive change by promoting communication practices, respecting work-life balance, and offering well-being opportunities; actions that can ripple across other sectors.

Join us this World Mental Health Day to learn how KTOs can become a driving force for positive change in the mental health space. This is a timely and crucial conversation, particularly as the World Health Organization (WHO) has emphasised the need for safe, healthy working environments that protect and support mental well-being. Unhealthy work conditions, such as stigma, discrimination, and poor work practices, can have serious consequences on mental health and productivity.

With 60% of the global population engaged in work, we must act now to ensure that workplaces safeguard mental health. Governments, employers, and organisations representing workers have a responsibility to come together and create supportive environments. By investing in evidence-based approaches, we can ensure everyone has the opportunity to thrive both at work and in life.

Together, we can create a culture where mental health is prioritised and everyone has the support they need to succeed.

Let's take a stand today for a healthier, more inclusive future.
