ESIL Annual Event - Business Angels and Deep Tech Teams

ESIL Annual Event - Business Angels and Deep Tech Teams

The event will tackle a key challenge for TTOs and KTOs: how to move early-stage research results towards validation, investment and market uptake.

ESIL invites you to join the Annual Event Business Angels and Deep Tech Teams on 5 June 2026 in Brussels, Belgium.

This half-day event brings together knowledge transfer professionals, investors, researchers and policymakers to explore how early-stage research projects can progress towards validation, investment and market uptake. Discussions will focus on the role of Business Angels in supporting emerging opportunities, strengthening collaboration with TTOs and KTOs, and improving pathways from research results to real-world application.

The session will address common challenges in managing early-stage innovation, including projects that are not yet ready for licensing or spin-out creation but require market validation, stakeholder engagement and strategic positioning. Speakers will share perspectives on how investors can support these stages and how funding instruments can better align with knowledge transfer and impact objectives.

The event will conclude with networking opportunities, allowing participants to exchange experiences and connect with stakeholders involved in early-stage deep tech development.
