R2I Lab Forum: Research to Impact Lab Forum

R2I Lab Forum: Research to Impact Lab Forum

Join the R2I Lab Forum to explore evidence-based approaches to strengthening knowledge exchange and research commercialisation. In this session, discover the Integrated Readiness Matrix (IRM) - a new framework for assessing innovation readiness across commercial, market, and societal dimensions.

The Research to Impact (R2I) Lab is an initiative of the Innovation Growth Lab, working to accelerate knowledge exchange and research commercialisation through experimentation, data, and evidence.

IGL invites you to join the next R2I Lab Forum on 15 July 2026, from 2:00–3:00 pm BST.

The session will introduce the Integrated Readiness Matrix (IRM), a framework designed to help innovation teams assess readiness across commercial, market, and societal dimensions alongside Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs). Participants will also hear a case study demonstrating how a university is testing a new intervention to address an intellectual property bottleneck and strengthen industry collaboration and future commercialisation outcomes.

The forum will also provide an overview of upcoming R2I Lab programmes focused on experimental policymaking and programme design, followed by a live Q&A with the speakers.

This event is particularly relevant for policymakers, innovation agencies, knowledge exchange and technology transfer professionals, university leaders, strategic intermediaries, and academic researchers.
