Based on the award-winning paper "Post-Sale Governance and Innovation: Evidence of Authentication Strategies in Luxury Watch Resale Markets" this webinar examines current market and technological innovation are reshaping luxury resale and perspectives about authenticity. The original paper included more than 43 interviews with watch brands, resale platforms, authentication providers, enforcement actors, and policymakers across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas.
The discussion will explore how IP law, enforcement and technology can preserve trust without unduly restricting legitimate secondary markets—and what the luxury watch sector may teach other markets for high-value goods.
