IP4OS Summit: Innovation, Sovereignty and Open Science in Europe

The IP4OS Summit brings together policymakers, researchers, legal experts, and industry representatives to explore how intellectual property, open science, and AI-driven innovation can strengthen Europe's innovation ecosystem and competitiveness.

The IP4OS project invites you to join the IP4OS Summit: Innovation, Sovereignty and Open Science in Europe on 13 October 2026 in Brussels or online.

This high-level policy summit will bring together policymakers, researchers, legal experts, industry representatives, and open science stakeholders to examine how intellectual property, open science, and AI-driven innovation can work together to strengthen Europe's innovation ecosystem and technological sovereignty.

The programme will explore topics including knowledge valorisation, patent ownership, research security, AI governance, open licensing, patent pools, and alternative governance models. Discussions will contribute to ongoing European policy initiatives, including the European Innovation Act, the ERA Act, the Digital Omnibus on Data, and the future Framework Programme (FP10).

Participants may attend in person at CSIC Brussels or online.
